This was a very, very dangerous time in American history.
After eight years of destruction under a total moron, a man suffering from serious Oedipus issues and controlled by forces of evil and darkness, to suffer four more years under a similar conditions may have proven fatal for America - and the world.
Armageddon avoided, perhaps?
We do have three more months of possible Bush mischief. But at least we won't have to deal with the possibility of having Sarah Palin get the nuclear codes. A person who is easily the most ignorant person ever to have a shot at the Presidency.
Oh, a few reminders as parting shots:
[N]o religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
- Article 6, the United States Constitution
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
- The First Amendment to the United States Constitution

Yea, she's pretty embarrassing. I could not listen to her for 4 years. Actually, I couldn't listen to McCain for 4 years either. Nor Bush. Glad it'll soon be over.
Another sign of the time:

It isn't done yet, unless you expect a fair election, something of which I'm less than certain.
A secessionist witchcraft teen-mother daughter bush-pilot-without-a-license keeping her eye on Russia while faux-plumber Charlie Keating relative plant keeps our eyes on what Obama won't really cost him...
My friends, Harry Houdini never got that contorted, and here half of America goes.

Possible mischief??
Bush is a serial destructionalist.
Possibly, he's saving the worst for last.

Those are limits on the Congress and for what allows someone to campaign. Even felons are not prohibited from running for Congress. Even convicted felons are not prohibited from running for Congress (yes, two different things).
The voters, however, can apply whatever standards and criteria they want when selecting someone for office, including religious criteria.
You do realize that you are applying a religious test to her don't you? That's funny.
