AmericaPANIC Serious Question of the Day
Why didn't George Bush, for eight long and excruciating years, communicate with the American people?
You know, briefings from the oval office. Fireside chats. Direct addresses to the American people in order to get them to explain his worldview and agenda and gain support.
Seriously.
Why didn't George Bush be, well, President?
Here's Jim Cramer and Erin Burnett on the economic collapse, and who's to blame
No regulation of the REIC and the investment banks by the Fed, Congress and the SEC destroyed the American financial system.
Bush, Greenspan, Bernanke, Cox and Dodd got us into this mess.
Period.
(side note - Erin Burnett is hot AND smart. Wouldn't she be a better VP for McCain?)
AmericaPANIC Quote of the Day
"I think it's pretty clear that Senator McCain is a little panicked right now. At this point he seems to be willing to say anything, or do anything, or change any position, or violate any principle to try and win this election."
- Barack Obama on the flailing and increasingly senile-looking John McCain, who is running one of the most shallow and shameful campaigns in modern American political history, September 19, 2008
And then John McCain did something amazing. He admitted that Social Security is just one big Ponzi Scheme, and that it is going broke.
Here's Obama taking open questions from the press on the economic collapse. You know, the kind of press conference McCain and Palin refuse to do
Twenty one days since Sarah Palin was named as McCain's VP candidate. Twenty one days, still no press conference. Twenty one days, the American people via reporters cannot ask her for her views.
Sarah Palin has a chance of becoming not VP, but PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES in a few weeks or months.
It looks like McCain's hoping to run out the clock on this one. No press conference. No questions except from friendly press.
And that's just too dangerous for America. The McCain/Palin ticket is dangerous and unacceptable.
(oh, hope you enjoy the Obama press conference. Disagree or agree, at least you know where he stands)

Pat Buchanan goes OFF!!! "Capitalist Pigs may have just destroyed an aspect of American capitalism"
Here's another quote from Pat (you know, a real republican, a true fiscal conservative, unlike the fake ones polluting America today)
"All these innocent people are going down in the ship with the jackass who didn't look out for the iceberg"
Obama: "fire "the whole Trickle-Down, On-Your-Own, Look-the-Other-Way crowd in Washington"
Never has a candidate had a week as bad as McCain had this week.
I can't wait for the debates.
Got my popcorn.
John McCain Hearts Alan Greenspan
What should I call AmericaPANIC?
September 18, 2008
Compare how Sean Hannity at Faux News interviewed Sarah Palin with how Bill O'Reilly interviewed Barack Obama
Would have been nice of Hannity had asked at least one tough question, or challenged one talking point of Palin's.
But that's what real journalists would do. Not the GOP poodles at Faux News.
Right wing propaganda and the brain dead idiots who like their opinions spoon fed to them got America into this mess.
But for comedic value, it sure is fun to watch.
AmericaPANIC Quote of the Day
- Barack Obama, throwing John McCain under the lobbyist bus, September 2008
Now that the Sarah Palin bubble has popped, will McCain consider replacing her? Or will he go down with the ship?
Not that it matters much anymore anyway.
McCain now has the choice of how he wants to lose - with honor or without.
The GOP's chances in 2012 rests on what McCain chooses. And no, Palin will not be a serious candidate.
September 17, 2008
Well, I think it's safe to say that today, we truly saw America panic. And that's not a pretty thing.
The Republicans got us into this mess.
The Democrats got us into this mess.
The realtors got us into this mess.
The mortgage brokers got us into this mess.
The bankers got us into this mess.
The Americans who gambled on houses and committed mortgage fraud got us into this mess.
The Chinese who artificially suppressed our interest rates got us into this mess.
HGTV, MTV, A&E and TLC got us into this mess.
Greenspan, Lereah, Bernanke, Yun, Paulson, Dodd, Frank, Swann, Appleton-Young, De Groot, Norman, Adkins and many more got us into this mess.
So...
WHO'S GOING TO GET US OUT OF THIS MESS!!!!!!!
Obama ad on the crash and McCain's petty attacks
This race is over.
The housing crash made sure of that.
But oh, what a mess President Obama will have on his hands.
John McCain, having no idea what got us into this mess (i.e. his own party), said in March 2008 that he was in favor of less regulation. Really.
John McCain is either an idiot, or a he has been corrupted by the lobbyists running his campaign (and writing his speeches).
The fact that there was NO regulation of the out of control REIC, no regulation of the out of control investment banks, no oversight of Fannie and Freddie, no oversight of the gambling banks - IS WHAT GOT US INTO THIS F*CKING MESS.
Seriously, how much more obvious can it be?
So McCain's solution? Even less regulation, even less accounting oversight, even less government involvement.
It's too bad that the vast majority of Americans are too financially illiterate to understand this kind of stuff. Because it's pretty fricking important.
Here's John McCain, the economic fool, from March:
"In financial institutions, there is no substitute for adequate capital to serve as a buffer against losses. Our financial market approach should include encouraging increased capital in financial institutions by removing regulatory, accounting and tax impediments to raising capital."
So Hillary Clinton said she saw this housing and economic meltdown coming. Great. Maybe she and her peers should have done something? Anything?
This is how it's gonna be now, huh? Realtors who said they saw it coming (even though they denied the bubble). Politicians saying they saw it coming (while they gave Fannie and Freddie even greater powers). Even Greenspan saying he saw it coming (when he caused it in the first place).
WELL IF ALL THESE MONKEYS SAW IT COMING, WHY DIDN'T THEY DO ANYTHING WHEN IT WOULD HAVE MATTERED?
They didn't see it coming. Or if they did, they didn't want to admit it.
Americans were on their own. And Americans are still on their own.
If Sarah Palin isn't qualified to run a corporation, how exactly is she qualified to RUN THE F*CKING WORLD? McCain advisor ends McCain campaign
Thank you Carly Fiorina for saying what we all knew was true. Sorry you have to go now. But hey, you were a failure and a flop at HP too.
(CNN) — Top McCain-Palin official Carly Fiorina is facing criticism from some within the campaign for a day of what they call "very Biden-like" comments, after the former Hewlett-Packard CEO told two separate interviewers that neither member of the Republican ticket would be capable of running a company.
Democratic VP nominee Joe Biden is noted for his off-the-cuff gaffes.
Asked by a St. Louis radio station whether she thought Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin could run a company like Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina responded: "No, I don't.
“But that's not what she's running for. Running a corporation is a different set of things."
Asked about that remark on MSNBC, she made the same unprompted assessment of the GOP presidential nominee. "I don't think John McCain could run a major corporation."
"Carly will now disappear," this source said. "Senator McCain was furious." Asked to define "disappear," this source said, adding that she would be off TV for a while – but remain at the Republican National Committee and keep her role as head of the party’s joint fundraising committee with the McCain campaign.
Fiorina was booked for several TV interviews over the next few days, including one on CNN. Those interviews have been canceled.

Major Obama speech today on the ongoing American economic collapse
For his policies or against his policies, you have to recognize by now that Obama is giving you substance. McCain and Palin, who having nothing to say, keep giving you distractions and bullsh*t. Yes, most Americans like distractions and bullsh*t. But some of us, the adults in the room, want substance.
If one good thing comes from the economic collapse it's that the race is getting back to a discussion of issues. The Palin farce is over. Lipstick on pigs is over. The historic economic collapse of 9/15 changed everything.
Here's Ron Paul questioning a clueless John McCain about the plunge protection team. I'd still like McCain to answer the question, if he's capable
When you are an ignoramus, it's tough to answer things about which you know nothing.
It was hilarious to see McCain try to answer this question. It'd be even funnier to hear what Sarah Palin had to say.
"Working group on capital? What the hell is that? I'm from Alaska, and we can see Russia."
Here's McCain having a debate with himself - "The fundamentals are strong" and "We are in crisis". John McCain - proving he is a clueless doofus
Please tell me America is not buying this crap anymore.
No matter how much they hate the gays. No matter how much they hate women's rights. No matter how much they want to combine church and state. Please tell me Americans are smart enough to understand what McCain, Bush and the GOP did to their economy.
John McCain plays the role of Herbert Hoover. We know how that turned out.
- Herbert Hoover, 1929
"Our economy I think, still, the fundamentals of our economy are strong."
- John McCain, Idiot, 2008
Kunstler on the GOP: "The Party that Wrecked America" - which will become more and more obvious as things get worse and worse until election day
Here's Kunstler on the dying Republican brand:
McCain-Palin have nowhere to go now but down, and I will tell you exactly how this will happen.
They can run away from President Bush, but they can't run away from the Republican Party. The Republicans will be regarded from now on as "the party that wrecked America."
Over the weeks ahead, as carnage in the economy and the financial markets ramps up, it will become increasingly clear.
SINCE OUR GOVERNMENT REFUSES TO DO ITS JOB, IS IT TIME TO GRAB THE PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES AND GO GET THESE CRIMINALS OURSELVES?
An enraged and financially devastated population is gonna want blood.
An enraged and financially devastated population is gonna want the conmen who caused this mess. Top of the list are these two men who enriched themselves at the expense of their fellow citizens. The two CRIMINALS who knowingly enabled the greatest financial fraud in the history of the world.
An enraged population wants Angelo Mozilo and Michael Perry frog marched. Now. Today. Before the election.
THIS IS TAKING TOO DAMN LONG.
WE WANT FROG MARCHES. AND WE WANT THEM NOW!!!!!
September 15, 2008
Anyone know if America still has a president? Because just like during Katrina, I sure haven't seen the whites of that bastard's eyes in awhile.
Meanwhile, John McCain, good luck spinning the events of today.
Change agent my ass. You sir, and your discredited party, are the problem.
Thanks for playing. Go away.
Obama, McCain try to seize economy issue
WASHINGTON (AP) — With chaos rocking financial markets, John McCain assailed "greed and corruption" on Wall Street and promised to clean it up, while Barack Obama blamed White House policies and said McCain would only deliver more of the same.
The presidential candidates struggled on Monday to seize control of the issue voters say is most important — the economy — with Republicans and Democrats alike saying the man who succeeds may well win the election.
I give you the two men who caused this mess. The men who could have stopped the housing bubble and mortgage fraud, and chose not to
And then people in Alaska stood up against the idea of sending us an unqualified idiot to be president. Check out this anti-Palin rally video
September 14, 2008
I've gotta hand it to McCain. When a candidate has nothing to run on, and everything to run away from, distractions are indeed the way to go.
Make sure nobody attacks Palin. It's sexist!
Palin / Clinton Saturday Night Live opening video. Makes you realize how undeserving and unqualified Palin truly is
Too bad nuclear destruction and financial armageddon aren't.
Here's John McCain, throwing Sarah Palin under the bus (before he ever met her)
- John McCain, previewing how cynical his selection of Sarah Palin would become, October 2007
Classic interview with former US Comptroller David Walker - who I can't believe wasn't imprisoned or assassinated
Too bad Obama or McCain won't discuss this. Too bad nobody cares. Because your kids, and their kids, and their kids, and their kids, and their kids will hate you.
Remember folks, the $10 trillion the MSM quotes is debt already accumulated. When you add in our liabilities, the real number if the US were an audited company is $53 trillion - and growing.
The problem with having ignorant fools for President is that they're ignorant fools. Here's the idiot Sarah Palin on going to war with Russia
Oops, I correct that. Yes, you can indeed pick any random person off the street and make them president.
And that's probably the fastest way to destroy your country.
