When the country was looking for a leader they could believe, an optimist, a calm and steady hand on the wheel...

I feel sorry for McCain though. Truly. He will regret his actions over the past few days and weeks for the rest of his life. He has no honor, he has no shame, and he has no dignity. And once you've lost those things in a reckless and ruthless quest for power, you can't get them back.

Did you look McCain is gaining and how come you never see Obama campaign in any black areas and where is his wife lately and the media is doing the smear for Obama so he can concentrate on his clean campaign and you really believe it. Get ready for an upset!
We already knew McCain was a piece of scum. Instead of being the staunch fiscal conservative he sold himself as, he turned 180 degrees after 911 and supported the Emperor in whatever he did. In short, McCain sold out to the "winning side" for the least payoff imaginable.
None of that means that Obama is any better whatsoever.

gwk - what language is that? Anyway, you seem to be saying McCain will win, which is actually still within the realm of possibility I agree. The racism wildcard plays at the final moment in the voting booth and gives McCain an ace in the hole 5-10% stealth bump that the polls won't catch.

After watching that insane woman from earlier in the week on the PBS show I came to the conclusion that what is hurting this country more than anything else is stupid people. Not stupid republicans or stupid democrats, just stupid people.
That woman is a stupid person. For the first time in Americas history we have a parental generation who does not want their children better educated than they were. This, for me, is the underlying reason we are looking at the decline of the USA. It may already be too late to fix it.
