This is what a historic leader sounds like

Hope for a hopeless nation.

Just in the nick of time.

All that optimism sounds a little socialist to me, bub!

Noodles,

You mean socialist, as in how all the fat cats on Wall St. privatized the profits, and then socialized the losses? Is that what you mean?

Me. I like optimism. Optimism and prudent action; with a little risk throw in for good measure.

Hitler was a "historic leader".

Mao was a "historic leader".

Stalin was a "historic leader".

Lenin was a "historic leader".

Pol Pot was a "historic leader".

Kim Il Sung was a "historic leader".

Mussolini was a "historic leader".

Idi Amin was a "historic leader".

etc etc...

Many of those "historic leaders" also sounded charismatic and were hugely popular with their people. Now I'm not saying that Obama is a genocidal megalomaniac. I'm saying that you shouldn't be so easily led by appearances.

You should know better, Kweefer. Remember the Realty Whores that are so charismatic and good looking but only want to screw you for that 6%???!!

Take from the rich, give to the government, make the poor subservient to the government. Socialism. Simple. Feels good doesn't it?

“Like a lot of my Democratic colleagues, I was too slow to appreciate the recklessness of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I defended their efforts to encourage affordable homeownership, when in retrospect I should have heeded the concerns raised by their regulator in 2004. Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit that when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong. By the way, I wish my Republican colleagues would admit that they missed the early warning signs that Wall Street deregulation was overheating the securities market and promoting dangerously lax lending practices. When it comes to the debacle in our capital markets, there is much blame to go around for both sides.”

Gandhi was a historic leader

JFK was a historic leader

Reagan was a historic leader

Lincoln was a historic leader

MLK was a historic leader

David Ben-Gurion was a historic leader

Remember this post eight years from now. I think Obama is set up to be not only a historic leader, but one of the great American presidents of all time

We'll see...

Exactly, that's my point. All you have is a "feeling" that Obama is going to be a good historic leader.

You certainly can't base it on anything he's done in his past. It's all based on image and empty rhetoric.

MLK was a historic leader

Oh puhleeease!!!! Don't go comparing MLK to BHO. Martin Luther King's speeches were full of SUBSTANCE. He stood up to the establishment and denounced the Vietnam War and was killed by the military establishment as a result of it.

Obama certainly borrows heavily from MLKs preacher-style speaking technique but that DOES NOT LEND ANY SUBSTANCE TO HIS SPEECHES!!!

WHAT? Where does this racism crap come from? I'm sick of it! I'm sicked of being accused of it because I understand what Socialism really means. I'm sick of being accused of it because I don't support B.O.. And I'm sick of all the racist minorities hiding behind political correctness and words like "oppression" to fuel their agenda. I'm sick of Jeremiah Wright for preaching hatred and shame on America...and i'm sick of B.O. supporters not admitting that they secretly agree with the good reverend.

Most importantly, people who don't recognize blatant sarcasm when they read it. (here's a hint...no sarcasm in this particular post).

What evidence do you have that you're color blind. At least I'm a white guy that dated a black girl in high school in deep south Texas.

You guys want to lose the election, keep calling everyone who opposes B.O a racist. I'll vote for McCain for sure.
