Even though 48% of Americans wanted to keep their country on a course of ruin, the world celebrates Obama's victory

If the world got to vote, Obama would have won 90% of the vote.

And yet 48% of Americans just don't get it.

I wish those 48% would travel beyond the borders of America, which I doubt many of them do. America should be trusted. It should be respected. It should be admired. It should be that shining city on a hill.

George Bush and Dick Cheney and the Republican Party destroyed that trust and goodwill these past eight years. They destroyed the American brand around the world.

And now, in a moment, that trust and goodwill has been restored. Now let's see if Obama can get it back for good.

Obama Victory Sparks Cheers Around the World

Across the globe, in concert halls and ballrooms, in plazas and beach parties and busy streets, the citizens of the world hailed the election of Barack Obama as a stroke for racial equality and voiced hopes his presidency would herald a more balanced, less confrontational America.

"...And yet 48% of Americans just don't get it."

An incredibly large amount of brainwashed, hateful hypocrites.

We, as a country, have come perilously close to a total meltdown due to this mass idiocy.

Hopefully, it's not too late.

Obama will have to follow very stringent security protocol due to the effective hate-mongering tactics of the GOP Machine.

Divided we fall...

America moves forward-hopefully.

But it is going to take more than Obama to right our ship of state.

We've had a collapse of leadership in this country that cuts across all fields and sectors. We have become a "get something for nothing" culture. That mentality is why the whole disgusting, criminal housing Ponzi scheme happened.

It is going to take hard, tough work, courage and sacrifice to turn this chaos around.

What about this HPers? If the criminal, corrupt financial system doesn't jump in and change its ways, consumers should boycott the system.

Give the financial "industry" about the same amount of time it took to get that 800 billion from Congress, to initiate policies and practices that don't destroy customers.

If they don't, everyone with a mortgage or credit cards should stop paying those bills for a month or two. That would get their attention.

Our Republican Senator here in Georgia is always blathering about cutting taxes. Hell, cut the damn interest rates on credit cards and those loan shark fees so people can pay off the cards.

Start actually prosecuting LOTS of people and companies for wire fraud.

That's change I want to believe in.

Go Obama/Biden and the American people.

Well, I don't know about 90% of the world, but we do know that 96% of black people voted for Obama.

...Because they are racists.

well, unless he follows Ron Paul's advice and drastically shrinks the size and influence of government on the free market, we will still be on a course to ruin. You were once appreciative of Ron Paul's wisdom. It's his website I'll be attending.

Still...it was fun...cheers.
