And then people in Alaska stood up against the idea of sending us an unqualified idiot to be president. Check out this anti-Palin rally video

The mudflats blog took this video. Nice to see some people even in Alaska against the idea of making the US a banana republic, regardless of the threats.

This is why we need the fairness doctrine brought back. AM radio is sickening....Rush, Hannity, Oreilly and Savage are making millions of dollars off of hate. This is what is dividing this country. Liberal was never a dirty word, is was about democracy and freedom. Sorry but who the hell should put labels on people? Labels...republican conservative oh my...Grow up folks.
This is about Corporate and governmant Greed, cults in our government, cover ups. Period. Don't think for one moment Bush has or had your back and I am talking about Father head of CIA and his son. Two very corputed men.

So Alaska has dems who don't like repubs. OK, cool.

Have you noticed McCain has overtaken Obama at Intrade.net for the first time ever? For a floundering joke of a campaign, as you would paint it, I would say McCain is doing all right.

What ever happened to the Republican party we knew before? Fiscal conservatism, foreign policy conservatism (not neo-con war hawk, and shoot-first diplomacy), no blank checks, support for small-business and private enterprise, political and economic creativeness and accountability, and a hardcore hatred of wasteful spending by government agencies?

Forget all of that. No, let's concentrate on the most divisive of issues (abortion), let's protect the oil industry titans, let's curb scientific research and neglect generations of children with substandard K-12 education, while China and India run circles around our 18 year old graduating seniors!

American needs brilliant minds to lead in 2008, not hockey-moms or well-spoken "community organizers".

Vote them all out of office and start from scratch.

agree. People need to start voting for a 3rd party or write someone's name in. we keep waiting and waiting for the emergence of a 3rd party. well, it ain't gonna happen until we the people create it and the only way that will happen is to start voting for non-establishment candidates.

Man, you can't make this stuff up.

Obama, his campaign, and his supporters have literally imploded over Palin's selection. They have no idea what to do and are in total meltdown mode.

With each new attack launched against her, undecided voters see the dems for what they really are. Each new attack on Palin equates to tens of thousands of votes for McCain.

Keep it up! I'll kick back with my popcorn and continue to enjoy the show.

Not as sickening as the fact that every single last television network except for Fox is biased and hateful against republicans and gives Obama and the democrats a free pass.

Oh, and that Fox and talk radio combined account for less than 10% of the viewers/listeners as all the disgustingly pro-liberal biased mainstream media.

What it comes down to is that most Americans don't want to hear your liberal crap, so the only solution for you pathetic losers is to legislate conservative talk radio out of existence with your anti-free speech, unconstitutional "Fairness Doctrine."

Pathetic. It makes you look like the sorry little weasels you are.

This was a smart move Keith, Bravo! Bashing under this header is fine by me. I'll probably stop by here frequently to take a look around without getting worked up.

I hadn't seen the SNL thing. A great piece.

And it's good to have HP back on Housing.

Well Said.....
Thank You
Corporatism. These guys want to use government to make corporations more powerful and make people fall in line to do corporate/government bidding. Eisenhower warned us against this. He was a conservative. McCain is just a corporate shill

So again, Fox is the *ONLY* conservative network, the other dozen are disgustingly biased toward the Democrats.

And yet you still cannot admit that. You just continue to bash on Fox. I guess the crybaby can't handle that there is actually one lone sole network out there that disagrees with his Stalinist Obama crap.

Loser.

That makes me smile AND feel gratified at the same time...

No, we don't need MORE government intervention into our lives!!

What we need is an educated population. Private schools that don't just turn out state worshipping, ignorant wage slaves but free thinking, independent, curious individuals that understand history, the law, science and art.

An educated population would reject scum like Hannity, O'Reilly and Rush in an instant. The problem is EDUCATION.

If the so-called liberal media only spews "liberal crap" and the 90% of American viewers that choose those media outlets over fair and balanced Fox then it would stand to reason that "most Americans" do want that liberal crap. It is quite simple-90% is a whole lot more than 10%. If "most Americans" wanted what Fox was broadcasting then that is what the other networks would be broadcasting too. All mainstream media outlets in this country exist for one reason and that is to sell ad space. They are not engaged in some evil communist plot to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids.

Why is it that every Lithuanian I have ever met was a secret Nazi and more than a little thick?

PRECISELY!!!

The above comment is officially seconded.

California is the nation's most wealthy state. Guess where it's K-12 education system is ranked among the 50 states?

48th!

Right ahead of Mississippi and Alabama.

Yeeeee Hawww!

And here's the scary bit: Californians are protesting their property tax bills right now, because they don't feel it's fair to pay taxes based on "bubble price" assessments! Isn't that great! Now, the Golden State, already 20 months into a massive budget crisis and after a $4.5 million budget slash in state education, is about to witness local communities collecting less property tax receipts than ever before. Run down schools? No air conditioning? It's going to get a lot worse.
