Major Obama speech today on the ongoing American economic collapse

For his policies or against his policies, you have to recognize by now that Obama is giving you substance. McCain and Palin, who having nothing to say, keep giving you distractions and bullsh*t. Yes, most Americans like distractions and bullsh*t. But some of us, the adults in the room, want substance.

If one good thing comes from the economic collapse it's that the race is getting back to a discussion of issues. The Palin farce is over. Lipstick on pigs is over. The historic economic collapse of 9/15 changed everything.

There is no room for bullshit and distractions we have to much to loose.
I am so glad celebrities are speaking out. I don't care what you say but celebrities have the platform we don't have. Who is speaking for us...No one. Lobbyist and spinners are the only ones on tv speaking for Americans are you kidding me.
People don't fall for this a 2nd time. If you don't like Obama vote him out in 4 years. We need a change. I am not sure if it is already to late.

Obama you had me at hello...

VP candidate Biden: Intelligent and Qualified.

VP candidate Palin: Brainwashed and Dangerous.

too bad his proactive efforts didn't work, though he takes credit for them anyway.

what finally convinced me to vote for obama was hearing Matt Damon rant about Palin.

hmmm, binden intelligent and qualified?

Republicans also posted a YouTube clip of an exchange between Biden and the “Today” host, Meredith Vieira, in which he disputed the idea that economists have questioned raising taxes in a recessionary economy.

VIEIRA: “Senator, you and Senator Obama are calling for tax increases on the wealthy. And there are many economists who say that that would hurt the economy even more.”

BIDEN: “I don't know any economists who are saying that.”

Actually, most economists will agree that raising any taxes during a recession is generally not a good idea.

He did very well up until the point he started talking about the tax-your-children initiative also known as tax cuts.

Ok I am not saying choose vote for someone because a celebrity says so. But come on no one is speaking for us. Its lobbyist after lobbyist on McCains side. McCain is so in bed with lobbyist its downright sickening. Hey McCain is 72 years old, I am sorry he should be enjoying his family and retire. McCain does not stand for Conservative values. Nor does Bush, Bush Sr., and Cheny.

Keith,
One question why haven't you commented on Haliburton, KGR, Blackwater, Abu ghraib coverup. The CEO greed is nothing compared to the war profiteering. Blackwater USA is some really messed up stuff. I think we are in bigger trouble than many of us can imagine.
If Obama is elected and does change things in Washington, what will happen to him?
Kennedy's are just an example.
I would like your imput on the sujects above.

Blackwater USA is a private military contractor co-founded by former Navy Seal Erik Prince.

Blackwater USA offers "tactical training," firing range and target systems, and security consulting under the company's subdivisions: Blackwater Training Center, Blackwater Target Systems, Blackwater Security Consulting and Blackwater Canine. According to its website, Blackwater provides "a spectrum of support to military, government agencies, law enforcement and civilian entities in training, targets and range operations as a solution provider." Their slogan is: "Providing a new generation of capability, skills, and people to solve the spectrum of needs in the world of security."[1]

Blackwater USA received no-bid contracts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and post-Katrina New Orleans from the current Bush administration.[2]

Blackwater USA has a 6,000 acre training facility as part of its headquarters, in North Carolina. The firm has additional offices in Baghdad, Iraq, and Kuwait City, Kuwait.

The "About Blackwater" section of its website states: "Blackwater Training Center was founded in 1996 to fulfill the anticipated demand for government outsourcing of firearms and related security training. Located on over 6000 acres in Moyock, North Carolina (just south of the Virginia border), Blackwater has the finest private firearms training facility in the U.S. Blackwater has set a new standard for firearms and security training and is recognized as the industry leader in providing government outsource solutions in training, security, canine services, aviation support services, range construction and steel target equipment. Since its inception, Blackwater has trained over 50,000 military and law enforcement personnel and provided solutions to hundreds of satisfied customers."[4]

Blackwater is one of two companies which make up The Prince Group, the other being Prince Manufacturing.[5] The Prince Group tapped former Pentagon Inspector General, Joseph E. Schmitz, for chief operating officer and general counsel in September of 2005.[6]

The Prince Group bought Aviation Worldwide Services[7] in May of 2003. AWS consists of STI Aviation, Inc., Air Quest, Inc., and Presidential Airways, Inc. These companies provide the logistical and air support for Blackwater operations. Blackwater itself consists of Blackwater Training Center, Blackwater Target Systems, Blackwater Security Consulting and Blackwater Canine.[8]

This my friends is just the tip of the iceberg...You should do your research. I met a man who worked for blackwater, he made over 100,000 a year. I really don't want to repeat what he told me because it is twisted and sick.
He left the army and joined blackwater. He did not have a high ranking position in the company.
He is voting for McCain.

Obama doesn't know anything more about the economy than McCain, he is just spewing out what his handlers tell him to say. But he does it so eloquently, doesn't he. So since all of you emotional voters love this shit, then you will vote with your pathetic "change with the wind" emotions. Good luck and be careful what you wish for.

If you thought the problems democrats created were bad, wait to see their solutions. Don't be fooled. Obama will try is hardest to paint a picture of doom and gloom before the election to make it look like republicans are totally fucking retarded. Remember, the economy started to tank pretty much around the time we got a democratic congress. People love to blame Bush, but never look at congress. Both parties are to blame for encouraging loans to people that never planned to pay them back, but the democrats started this whole ownership bullshit under Clinton. The entire crux of this economic melt down is housing, and you can't pin it on Bush.

Obama's only worked as a senator (in office) for 6 weeks, he gave 20K to Rev Write's church in '06, his wife is a racist, and basically has no qualifications to lead this country.

Your country is BETTER than this ASSHOLE wants you to believe.

Obama knows how to deliver a speech. More importantly, he understands what's in the speech. Chances are he wrote most if not all of the speech.

I agree with most of what he says. Basically, "..if you're in a hole, quit digging."

Obama/Biden 08.

obama may have know it 2 years ago but nader knew it back in 2000:

"Nader Rips Mae and Mac," declared the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal on June 16, 2000. "Ralph Nader, warning of a potential taxpayer bailout similar to the savings and loan crisis, urged lawmakers to cut government benefits to mortgage-market giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- which he called 'poster children for corporate welfare.'"

Conservatives need to suffer before they see the light. Here's hoping they see lots of suffering.

I enjoyed the last few days. That was fairly entertaining. Chaos and mayhem, gotta love it. Better than any reality show I've ever seen. My vote is with the McCain/Palin ticket. That's bound to be even more hilarious than the current set of clowns.
Obama might patch things over temoparily, but we're already beyond the point of no return.

Sorry keith. Obama is a lawyer who manages to talk a lot, about nothing, very eloquently. I listened to the last one you had and am not watching another 38 minute snore fest.

Obama does not really appear to understand freedom. He always talks about regulation this, government this, "streamline" that (gag me), hamilton this, hey why the fuck don't you just tell the people to stop being sheep for once, cut government spending and appeal for the better side of people to be unleashed.

I'm voting for Barr or Paul.

Nice speech. he sounds like a freakin genius compared to war hero. Normally I would vote for Osama over McSame in a normal election, to punish my party for abandoning it's true conservative base(the Terry Schiavo debacle was the last straw.) I will vote Republican in Nov, however. As a real conservative, I am sickened by the hijacking of the Republican party by the neocon far right. With McBush in the White House when the country goes to hell(and it will, no matter who gets in,)the party that deserves the black eye, and the a$$ whipping that will come along with it, will get the black eye. Only then can the new (old) conservative republican party arise from the ashes.

Four more years, four more years, four more years!

C'mon America. You've been dumb as dirt twice in the last eight years, lets make it three for twelve.

Four more years!

Republicans LOVE celebrities when the celebrities endorse Republicans.

Most cracked out example: McCain glorifying in the endorsement of Daddy Yankee. Are you f-ckin kidding me? A tattoolio'd Regaeton misoginistic asswipe is just fine.

But Hollywood Matt Damon, who can sure as hell string some thoughts together, is not.

Puhleeze.
