And then, during the biggest economic crisis in America since the Great Depression, the country realized that they were on their own, leaderless.

1) Wreck America - check

2) When the sh*t really hits the fan, slink into your cave and fail to lead - check

I honestly don't know what Bush's problem is. A ninth grader would be a better leader than he is today. A paid actor would be a better leader than he is being today.

He is a total and complete failure, letting his country down, and cementing his place in history as the worst and most destructive president of all time.

And America, thanks to him, is in a world of hurt.

January can't come soon enough. The destructive presidency of George W. Bush cannot end soon enough.

It's the voters' responsibility. Still only 6% Ron Paul. Don't blame Bush, blame the sad American voter.

Scarbarough goes to the old GOP party hacks home after he takes his medicine.

Do these clueless people get paid money for this drivel?

Why not just get in front of the fact that the executive branch looted the country and now the country is broke, BK, Poof Done?

New Leaders Wanted.

Your "paid actor" comment reminds me of something Ronald Reagan once said.

When he decided to run for Prez, he called Jack Valenti (a movie mogul) to tell him the news.

Valenti said... "no, it's Jimmy Stewart for President, Ronald Reagan as best friend"

The leadership failed because leaders don't "all of sudden out of the blue" come up with a big suprize panic. Everything is fine one day and in the tank the next. Where was the gradual outcropping of the problem and the call for independant experts to work on it, all the while letting the American People know about it far in advance? No, this thing has to be for a specific purpose--Problem/Reaction/Solution kind of stuff as we all have seen time and again. This bailout panic just doesn't fit either tactics or strategy with in mind the actual honest running of the United States. This is a "cram job"---Invoke fear that Joe Sixpack cant get a loan for his new Pickemuptruck and he whacks out and will vote for anything they want. There are some crawly mice in the belfry here---I am no wise smart enough to know what, but I have been here long enough to know how they trick people into acceptance of their dirty deeds. Now my question: Someone please answer this if you can---If the Fed Reserve could inject 630B like the news reported they did yesterday---why cant they cough up another 70B to go with it and there is your 700B? Evidently the Fed has plenty of money even if the US Govt does not have any? I dont get that one-----This is all scare tactics--and again, I am not in the know enough to say why it is happening, and I doubt if any but the elite do.
Thanks

Bush is Bush..He has not changed from the moment he stepped into the White House.
I remember my 1 year old daughter was in the hospital for a horrible stomach flu. Bush announced WE WERE GOING TO ATTACK IRAQ..I THOUGHT THIS MAN HAS LOST HIS MIND. He lied about Sadam and 9/11. I walked down to the gift shop and I thought I was at a Football game. Americans were salivating...
They cheered. Sorry Keiths Americans wanted this war.
I remember witnessing Sadams sons on television.. Dead...Shown on tv like an animals they had hunted and killed. Sickening.
I was sick to my stomach back then.
I feel numb now.
I was never for this President or War.
I was never for Kerry.
I was never for any part of this administration.
I am just a mom, nothing special and I knew this was wrong.
Americans became divided when we went into war. I believe we will always be divided....I never want to be like my fellow republicans who wanted this war.
So as I said Bush is being Bush..
Katrina
The torture
America...
Its all the same.
Keith, right now I feel numb to it. I am sadden and numb.

He drinks in his room by himself.

The Senate is going to vote on the bail out again while the House is in recess tomorrow night (in the dark like the snakes they are). They figure that this will put more pressure on the House to cave and vote for it.

Campbell Brown is reporting that the phone calls coming into Congress today are changing. After yesterday's tank of the market, people are looking at their 401k's and IRA's and saying holy shit. We have to do something. Bail us out. We have learned to respond to bribery very well. in the USA.

The problem with America is the American people. Our leaders actually represent us very well. If we don't like what we see in our elected leaders we just need to look at ourselves to understand the revulsion that we and the rest of the world feel for us.

We are gutless wonders.

(Okay, time for the Shining Beacon of Freedom on the Hill Guy)

To the mom who left the comment about Bush and the war, I agree. It was so bizarre how Sadams son's were shown on cable news dead as if they were trophy's.
Sadam's grandson I believe was killed as well.
Look I know what some of you are thinking, but this war was morally wrong.
The torture the crimes, it is just so wrong.
If Allan Greenspan was right about this war is just about oil. This administration needs to go to jail.
It is just amazing what power and corruption can accomplish. We had Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr. and we almost had Clinton again.
I don't want to see another Bush or Clinton near the White House. Sorry but Chelsea, Jeb your not getting in.

We've been on our own for a long time...

There was a time when wagon trains crossed the southwest and people died from thirst and starvation. They didn't sit there holding up signs that said "Help" like after Katrina.

There was a time when you could be swindled for everything you had. Tough luck.

If anything, the idea that we need leadership in all times, for all things, is what has taken us down this path to arrive at feelings of having been abandoned. It has created a dependency culture that requires every individual want to be met. It has made us soft and deteriorated the ability level of the general population. It has delayed the realization that the world isn't fair that accompanies the passing from youth into adulthood.

The irony is that the world hasn't changed much, but people think the world is ending because of their ever-increasing expectations of what the world will do for them.

The point was that the bloodlust shown by the extreme right in the American political system is about as palatable as the bloodlust of the so called Islamo-fascist. Isn't it amazing that they both claim to be cleansing the earth of "evil-doers". But of course you would have understood this subtile point of view if you were a real conservative.

if they hadn't been shown on TV then people would never have believed that they had been killed. Don't you (or the previous poster) remember the other reports of how they US Military agonized over showing the dead sons on tv and making a media event of it? Do you?

Maybe the previous poster was watching aljazeer, where the glorify violence and hate.

Once again, mental midgets who over dramatize everything.
Once again, people seem to have terrible memories.
Once again, they fail to bother with the facts.
Once again, facts would just get in the way.

So the US doesn't glorify hate and violence? Hell we have a whole industry that produces violent content... it's called Hollywood. Then there's the massive arms industry...

Mental midget indeed.

Once again, people seem to have terrible memories.

Yeah, like "Sadam's developing nukes, and we've got to get in there now!"

You've been neoCONED and you don't even know what your traditional conservative values are.

Not only are you the mental midget your also a hypocrite... See I can be an a@@hole too.
