Screw you.

Woman, 90, shoots self inside foreclosed home
(CNN) -- A 90-year-old Akron, Ohio, woman who shot herself as sheriff's deputies tried to evict her from her foreclosed home became a symbol of the nation's home mortgage crisis Friday.
Fannie Mae foreclosed on the Akron, Ohio, home of Addie Polk, 90, after acquiring the mortgage in 2007.
Addie Polk is being treated at Akron General Medical Center after shooting herself at least twice in the upper body Wednesday afternoon, her city councilman said.
U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, mentioned Polk on the House floor Friday during debate over the latest economic rescue proposal.
"This bill does nothing for the Addie Polks of the world," Kucinich said after telling her story. "This bill fails to address the fact that millions of homeowners are facing foreclosure, are facing the loss of their home. This bill will take care of Wall Street, and the market may go up for a few days, but democracy is going downhill."
Neighbor Robert Dillon, 62, used a ladder to enter a second-story bathroom window of Polk's home after he and the deputies heard loud noises inside, Dillon said.
"I was calling her name as I went in, and she wasn't responding," he said.
He found her lying on a bed, and he could see she was breathing. He also noticed a long-barreled handgun on the bed, but thought she just had it there for protection. He touched her on the shoulder.
"Then she kind of moved toward me a little and I saw that blood, and I said, 'Oh, no. Miss Polk musta done shot herself,' " Dillon said.
He hurried downstairs and let the deputies in. He said they told him they found Polk's car keys, pocketbook and life insurance policy laid out neatly where they could be found, suggesting she intended to kill herself.
"There's a lot of people like Miss Polk right now. That's the sad thing about it," said Akron City Council President Marco Sommerville, who had met Polk before and rushed to the scene when contacted by police. "They might not be as old as her, some could be as old as her. This is just a major problem."
In 2004, Polk took out a 30-year, 6.375 percent mortgage for $45,620 with a Countrywide Home Loan office in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The same day, she also took out an $11,380 line of credit.
Over the next couple of years Polk missed payments on the 101-year-old home, which she and her late husband purchased in 1970. In 2007, Fannie Mae assumed the mortgage and later filed for foreclosure.
Deputies had tried to serve Polk's eviction notice more than 30 times before Wednesday's incident, Sommerville said. She never came to the door, but the notes the deputies left would always disappear, so they knew she was inside and ambulatory, he said.
The city is creating programs to help people keep their homes, Sommerville said.
"But what do you do when there's just so many people out there and the economy is in the shape that it's in?"
Many businesses and individuals have called since Wednesday offering to help Polk, Sommerville said.
"We're going to do an evaluation to see what's best for her," he said. "If she's strong enough and can go home, I think we should work with her to where she goes back home. If not, we need to find another place for her to live where she won't have to worry about this ever again."
For his part, Dillon hopes his neighbor of 38 years can return to her home.
"She loves that house," he said. "I hope they can get her back in. That would make me feel better because I don't know what they're going to put in there once she leaves."
He said the neighborhood is declining because so many people have lost their homes.
"There's a lot of vacant houses around here. ... Now I'm going to have a house on my left and a house on my right, vacant," he said. "That don't make me feel good, because we were good neighbors, we trusted each other, and we looked out for each other.
"This neighborhood is shot, to me, from what it used to be," he added.
"When I moved here, if it were like it is now, I would have never moved here. But it was a nice neighborhood....
"I'll just tough it out. I'm too old to start thinking about buying another house."
Sommerville said that by the time people call for help with an impending foreclosure, it's usually too late.
"I'm glad it's not too late for Miss Polk, because she could have taken her life," Sommerville said. "Miss Polk will probably end up on her feet. But I'm not sure if anybody else will."
Bushco-Cheneyburton-Greedspan-Paulson-Bernanke Depression of 2008
I can't wait for 2010. After Obama wrecks America, I doubt many incumbents in Congress will get re-elected. I really believe we'll see a Ron Paul revolution taking over Congress.
I saw a great quote yesterday that pretty much sums it up: "Republicans have become Democrats and Democrats have become Communists."
And let's not forget a special f**k you to Harry Reid, who shot his mouth off the other day and caused a $14 billion equity loss in the insurance industry.
Wait Wait what about alan Greenspan?
Keith,
Who is voting for MCcAin? Even the KKK has endorsed Barak....They fear the New World Order...Interesting there is a photograph proving this:
Grand Turk Cletus Monroe has also been very vocal about the election and has donated thousands of dollars to Obama's election fund.
"The boy's gonna do it. My Klan group has donated up to $250,000 to the Obama fund. Anything is better than Hillary Clinton. Hell I'll even adopt a black kid from Africa before I vote for Hillary."
"A few years back we were lynching negroes. Now we're gonna vote for one to be president of the US of motherfu**ing A, damn it! Anyone or anything is better than Hillary Clinton - anything!!"
Placards for Barack Obama have been put up around the Klan's Headquarters and the KKK have announced a television ad campaign to support the African American candidate.

and the senators who voted for the war:
About 100,000 Iraqi civilians - half of them women and children - have died in Iraq since the invasion, mostly as a result of airstrikes by coalition forces, according to the first reliable study of the death toll from Iraqi and US public health experts.
The study, which was carried out in 33 randomly-chosen neighbourhoods of Iraq representative of the entire population, shows that violence is now the leading cause of death in Iraq. Before the invasion, most people died of heart attacks, stroke and chronic illness. The risk of a violent death is now 58 times higher than it was before the invasion.
Last night the Lancet medical journal fast-tracked the survey to publication on its website after rapid, but extensive peer review and editing because, said Lancet editor Richard Horton, "of its importance to the evolving security situation in Iraq". But the findings raised important questions also for the governments of the United Sates and Britain who, said Dr Horton in a commentary, "must have considered the likely effects of their actions for civilians".
The research was led by Les Roberts of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. Five of the six Iraqi interviewers who went to the 988 households in the survey were doctors and all those involved in the research on the ground, says the paper, risked their lives to collect the data. Householders were asked about births and deaths in the 14.6 months before the March 2003 invasion, and births and deaths in the 17.8 months afterwards.
When death certificates were not available, there were good reasons, say the authors. "We think it is unlikely that deaths were falsely recorded. Interviewers also believed that in the Iraqi culture it was unlikely for respondents to fabricate deaths," they write.
They found an increase in infant mortality from 29 to 57 deaths per 1,000 live births, which is consistent with the pattern in wars, where women are unable or unwilling to get to hospital to deliver babies, they say. The other increase was in violent death, which was reported in 15 of the 33 clusters studied and which was mostly attributed to airstrikes.
"Despite widespread Iraqi casualties, household interview data do not show evidence of widespread wrongdoing on the part of individual soldiers on the ground," write the researchers. Only three of the 61 deaths involved coalition soldiers killing Iraqis with small arms fire. In one case, a 56-year-old man might have been a combatant, they say, in the second a 72-year-old man was shot at a checkpoint and in the third, an armed guard was mistaken for a combatant and shot during a skirmish. In the second two cases, American soldiers apologised to the families.
"The remaining 58 killings (all attributed to US forces by interviewees) were caused by helicopter gunships, rockets or other forms of aerial weaponry," they write.
The biggest death toll recorded by the researchers was in Falluja, which registered two-thirds of the violent deaths they found. "In Falluja, 23 households of 52 visited were either temporarily or permanently abandoned. Neighbours interviewed described widespread death in most of the abandoned houses but could not give adequate details for inclusion in the survey," they write.
The researchers criticise the failure of the coalition authorities to attempt to assess for themselves the scale of the civilian casualties.
"US General Tommy Franks is widely quoted as saying 'we don't do body counts'," they write, but occupying armies have responsibilities under the Geneva convention."This survey shows that with modest funds, four weeks and seven Iraqi team members willing to risk their lives, a useful measure of civilan deaths could be obtained."

The worse president of all time, yet no impeachment? I feel like we are so doomed its not funny anymore.
He still has plenty of time to make things worse though. He might as well keep the tragic record flowing while he can. I've lost all hope in our elected officials Keith, but nevertheless, thanks for doing all your good work!
frank@scottsdale-sucks.com,
Man, what did they do to you in Scottsdale? Was it the dry heat?
I can't believe you are this stupid? You're moving into my "bone dry" stupid category.
If America is wrecked during the Obama/Biden presidency, it will be because Bush/Cheney burned down the house.
Before you blame Obama, start blaming Bush and your Republican Party. And Frank, stay out of the sun!

I watched that video. I cried.
I do not want to be involved in a mess that Israel has created. Israel is as much to blame for this war as Bush.
AIPAC so many lobbyist in America:
For more than half a century, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee has worked to help make Israel more secure by ensuring that American support remains strong. From a small pro-Israel public affairs boutique in the 1950s, AIPAC has grown into a 100,000-member national grassroots movement described by The New York Times as "the most important organization affecting America's relationship with Israel."
As America's leading pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC works with both Democratic and Republican political leaders to enact public policy that strengthens the vital U.S.-Israel relationship. With the support of its members nationwide, AIPAC has worked with Congress and the Executive Branch on numerous critical initiatives -- from securing vital foreign aid for Israel to stopping Iran's illicit nuclear program. Some highlights include:
Passing more than a dozen bills and resolutions condemning and imposing tough sanctions on Iran during the past 15 years.
Securing critical security assistance to Israel each year to ensure that Israel maintains its qualitative military edge over potential adversaries.
Reinforcing the key principles America should stand by as it works to help Israel achieve peace in letters to the president signed by 268 House members and 78 senators.
Passing multiple resolutions affirming congressional support for Israel’s right to self-defense in the face of terrorism by the terrorist groups Hamas and Hizballah.
Strongly urging the administration to take its decision to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group and weapons proliferator through an amendment supported by 76 senators and key legislation passed in the House of Representatives.
Strengthening U.S.-Israel energy cooperation by passing legislation that establishes a grant program that funds joint projects between U.S. and Israeli entities in the field of alternative energy.
Strengthening U.S.-Israel homeland security cooperation by passing landmark legislation creating an office within the Department of Homeland Security to support joint research and development projects between the United States and key allies such as Israel.
Prohibiting U.S. aid and contacts with a Hamas-led PA until its leaders recognize Israel’s right to exist, renounce violence and ratify previous Israeli-Palestinian peace agreements.
Ratifying an agreement that led to the Israeli medical service Magen David Adom’s admission to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (IRC).
Passing the Syrian Accountability Act, which allows the president to sanction Syria for its continued involvement in Lebanon and support of terrorism.
Folks wake up. Howard Dean from Vermont was ahead in the Polls until the day he said on national Tv that we should not be involved in the middleeast. Israel has to defend itself.
That was doomsday on the media for him. Remember the scream???? Well you can see how the fucking media can sway an election.
I think Obama has the internet and the media not sure where to turn. We have use the internet in this election like no other.
We should turn our tv off except for SNL...lol.
malcolm, here's the latest from your beloved General Motors.
What a nice Christmas Present from papa jimmy Merry Christmas, You're FIRED. Still want to defend GM some more? The Worst Company in America.
GM to close Ohio SUV factory Dec. 23
MORAINE, Ohio - General Motors Corp. said Friday it will shut down its SUV assembly plant here on Dec. 23 as the company shifts focus to smaller vehicles.
GM spokesman Chris Lee said employees gathered in the plant Friday afternoon were informed of the closing date. Some 1,100 remaining workers are affected.
GM recently reduced operations at the factory to a single shift, eliminating 400 to 500 jobs.
The Moraine plant assembles the GMC Envoy, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Saab 9-7X. All three vehicles have seen their sales fall at least 30 percent through September, compared with the same period a year earlier.
GM turned down a $56 million tax credit and grant package from the Ohio Department of Development to keep the plant open.
The other plants GM has said it will close are in Janesville, Wis.; Oshawa, Ontario; and Toluca, Mexico. The four closures combined will result in the loss of about 8,350 jobs.
Fuck GM and ALL its employees.
DIE U PIGS
I think this 'bailout' is a last-minute money grab by the fatcats before they are shown the trapdoor by the Obama administration. They know it's coming. Bushie et al are greasing the exits for themselves on their way to their ranches where they will live out their lives in smug affluence at the cost of the taxpayers. Shame on you, thieves!
I saw a great quote yesterday that pretty much sums it up: "Republicans have become Democrats and Democrats have become Communists."
I think you got that wrong...
Democraps have become Rethuglicans and Rethuglicans have become Fascists.

Sure, I’ll defend GM some more…
First of all, my 2006 Cadillac CTS is running just fine, thanks for asking.
Next… I continue to maintain that GM serves an important national defense purpose. Back in World War 2, our civilian manufacturing plants were converted over to wartime production; and it was that production that gave us the advantage that won the war.
Now that we’ve lost nearly our entire manufacturing base, it’s going to make things difficult if another world war starts. Sure, we could TRY to buy our weapons from our enemies, but they generally frown on that sort of thing.
And once again, I reiterate my belief that there has to be something psychologically wrong with someone who rejoices at the idea of millions of people losing their jobs and going broke.
Sure, when you’re young you may have enjoyed pulling the wings off flies or burning ants with a magnifying glass, but when an adult relishes wide-scale pain in others it’s generally considered a psychosis.
You would have been a hoot in the Stanford Experiment.

oh yes, he will wreck it, not intentionally but his socialist leanings will finish it off. Just look what the democrat controlled congress has managed to accomplish over the last 2 years. They have manage to flush our economy down the drain. and it will get worse once obama is in the white house.
I think this 'bailout' is a last-minute money grab by the fatcats before they are shown the trapdoor by the Obama administration.
---------------------------------
are you a complete idiot? the democrats have control of congress! Those are obama's fellow party members! they could have voted down the No Banker Left Behind legislation!
Oh Oh! Obama f'ing voted for it, dumbass. why will he do ANYTHING different when he is in the white house?
Well now, there are some responsible and honest senators and representatives...
"Now that we’ve lost nearly our entire manufacturing base, it’s going to make things difficult if another world war starts."
That's funny - the manufacturing companies near me all have the overhead and labor force to convert to wartime production.
Did you know that the USA is still the largest manufacturer in the world?
And why are you crying about this false notion that there is no manufacturing in the USA? Aren't factory line workers losers and Republicans, in HPers' eyes? Have you ever worked in a factory? Would you?
