Palin and Biden on Cheney

Watch CBS Videos Online

Too bad America had to waste 90 minutes without a good question or a real debate tonight.

At least Couric asked some good ones.

Loved this video. Again, showed how stupid Palin truly is. Habeas Corpus? Illegal wiretapping? Secret oil company meetings? Launching a war on false pretenses? Destroying the image of America abroad?

Nope.

Duck hunting.

Unreal.

I am still shock that her young daughter was carrying her newborn on stage...walking around with a newbord...Reminds me of Britney Spears....

Always happens. Trash someone, expect the worst, they somehow pull out their best and show you up. Karma's a bitch.

No Keith, you're way off base here. The Founders envisioned and the Constitution encourages competition between the three branches of government. Over time this competition prevents any one branch from gaining too much power over the others. Just as a good lawyer is a unwavering advocate for his client, the VP has to be an advocate for their position and powers in the executive branch.

Palin showed exactly the right instinct, while Biden showed he'd be a pushover for Congress. I suppose that is why he's been in the Senate for six terms.

Hey Keith, how does that double helping of crow taste? Gwen Ifil did a great job as moderator, and Palin made Biden look old and elitist. Mission accomplished.

I didn't expect much. Did you?

Granted, I turned the debate off and went out for a dinner cruise on a friend's boat after 20 minutes instead. But seriously....

The moderator was called out the day before the debate on being pro-Obama. Prior to the debate, her bosses told her to either be tough on both candidates, or get fired.

So she was equally tough on both, and in response we got a bunch of campaign sound bites right from the campaign brochures.

Big waste of time for everyone.

But seriously... has a VP debate ever mattered?

Ever?

Nope.

Interestingly, while polls are showing that Palin won, my homepage of Yahoo News doesn't even mention one word about the debate. Like it never even happened.

Think the MSM is biased? Anyone? Anyone?

Me too. At the last minute during the debate we decided to have a party for 2,000 friends so we chartered a helicopter and then flew on the QE II to a catered affair. We invited the whole town...

You're so full of bullshit I smell you here.

You Stink.

Here's a great piece about Sarah Palin's successful strategy and tactics during the debate:

Frank, your facts are so twisted buddy - wake up! you're being lied to. Billow, Rush, Fox News - it's all propaganda. Open your mind to the possibility that you are probably gay. Spouting-off the macho right-wing line of the day may make you feel straight, but we all know you're compensating for something.

FTA: "It was a lot of fun. It was a great opportunity to get to speak directly to Americans," Palin said in an interview with Fox News. McCain told supporters at a town-hall meeting in Pueblo, Colo.: "You know, I almost felt a little sorry last night for my old friend Joe Biden. She did a magnificent job." The GOP's presidential nominee drew cheers when he declared, "Viva la Barracuda!"
Two quick polls indicated that Biden fared better in the debate. A CBS News/Knowledge Networks Poll found that 46 percent of uncommitted voters who watched the debate thought Biden won, with 21 percent siding with Palin. A CNN poll found respondents judging Biden the winner by a margin of 51 percent to 36 percent but calling Palin more likable by 54 percent to Biden's 36 percent."
