CNN poll: GOP takes brunt of blame for economy; Obama gains
By a 2-to-1 ratio, Americans blame Republicans over Democrats for the financial crisis that has swept across the country the past few weeks, a new national poll suggests.
In a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey out Monday afternoon, 47 percent of registered voters questioned said Republicans are more responsible for the problems currently facing financial institutions and the stock market; only 24 percent said Democrats are more responsible.
Twenty percent blame both parties equally and 8 percent say neither party is to blame.
The poll also indicates more Americans think Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, would do a better job handling an economic crisis than McCain, the Republican presidential nominee.

On election night, when it becomes clear that Americans not only showed the GOP the door, they also slammed it hard in their face, you'll be amazed that just a few weeks before you thought the election might be close.

Who's to blame? Well, there's no shortage to go around. The inventor of the Adjustable Rate Mortgage gets a lot of the blame by enabling the mess in concert with total deregulation brought to you by the GOP and Clinton.
The inventor of the ARM being a pivotal culprit deserves to be specially punishment. How about paralize the idiot with curare, put him on a ventilator, and perform surgery on him with no painkiller. He'll feel ALL the pain but could not react in any way.
The rest? Ship them to Gitmo and waterboard them daily. Then put them in a NASA centrifuge to spin-dry them! Or, hang them upside down (like David Blaine) after waterboarding to use less energy and be green.
